The 2017 Philadelphia Flower Show
“Holland, Flowering the World” March 5 - March 11-19, 2017
Photos of our 2017 exhibit will be posted soon.
For this show, we created a landscape inspired by the
early 20th-century Dutch art and architecture movement known as
De Stijl
("The Style")
Inspiration: A cover of the Dutch art journal De Stijl
The De Stijl movement was founded by artist Theo van Doesburg in Amsterdam in 1917. Painters Piet Mondrian, Vilmos Huszár, Bart van der Leck and architect Gerrit Rietveld are among De Stijl's most famous practitioners. De Stijl is known for its abstract use of primary-colored squares and rectangles combined with horizontal and vertical black or white lines.
Getting ready for the show
In addition to our own exhibit,
we created an "energy tree" art/garden installation for the
Green Mountain Energy Company.
